Independent publishers
The publishers gathered on this page are independent houses, museums, foundations and cultural institutions with their own imprint, galleries, studios, and artists who publish their own work. Before selling here, each of them applied to our editorial committee, which first checks that they really are the publisher of the titles they list, then looks at how consistent and carefully made their programme is. Their catalogues hold photobooks, monographs, magazines and zines, as well as photographic prints and contemporary printmaking, always new.
Buying here means buying from the publisher: the sales contract is formed between you and them, and Artbook Society takes no part in it. The publisher sets the price, packs your parcel and hands it to a carrier with a tracking number, and you are kept informed at every step. Each house decides which countries it delivers to; some also offer free collection in person. Buyers pay no commission, and browsing the catalogue requires no account.
