Il Pasticciere Trotzkista
The Pasticciere Trotzkista editorial project is an attempt to translate into a printed narrative the vast archive of images recorded in recent years by the author of this research dedicated to the representation of cakes in cinema. Founded by artist Alfred Agostinelli in 2020, The P.T. began with the construction of an iconographic atlas conceived as a refuge from the aspirational ugliness of contemporary cake design, and at the same time as a space in which to develop a reflection on the subtextual meanings of these queer objects, often endowed in films with a strange, dark power.
