Éditions Marval / Rue Visconti

Today inseparable from the Mouvements bookstore-gallery (Paris), Marval / Rue Visconti editions develop an editorial practice where the book is conceived as a space for creation, thought, and memory. Their focus lies at the intersection of contemporary art, photography, and conceptual approaches, with particular attention to language, protocol, image, and forms of visual narrative. Their most distinctive axis is the documentation of artists: beyond books and catalogs, they also value what is often considered peripheral—exhibition catalogs, posters, invitation cards, ephemera—treating them as essential pieces for understanding and transmitting a work. This approach extends into Mouvements, a space that is both an exhibition venue, a publishing house, and a specialized bookstore, where one moves between artworks, publications, and printed archives, as publishing dialogues with the production of artistic projects and events.
