Trèfle
On the side of the road, Trèfle looks at ordinary things that, if you look a little closer and pay attention, can bring good luck. Trèfle is a publishing house with the ambition to blend documentary and creation through works with diverse themes and approaches, dedicated to designers, art and poetry enthusiasts, as well as children. It was established as an association in 2023 by the Toulouse-based graphic design duo, Rovo (Gaëlle Sandré and Sébastien Dégeilh). While graphic design is not its direct subject, it aims to embody the empathy that characterizes it, the openness to other disciplines and fields of creation, as well as an interest in everyday objects that carry meaning. These design professions invite us to confront, with each new project, different contexts and subjects, which for a time become objects of study and interest. It is tempting to see in this encounter with a 'field' and the people who inhabit it, namely the clients, a parallel with ethnographic or sociological research.
