The original of this "Conversation Notebook No.6" was created by Lourdes Castro in 1966, as a single copy.
Lourdes Castro created 7 unique conversation notebooks, all pyro-engraved by hand on Plexiglas®, each reproducing a different dialogue extracted from the "New Guide to Conversation in Portuguese and French" published in Paris in 1827.
This first edition closely approached the original copy – using digital printing and engraving techniques – while respecting the "accidents" of the original version.
The title page features a pyro-engraving by the artist's hand.
30 copies of this work were produced, signed and numbered by the artist:
25 copies numbered from 1 to 25, reserved for sale
5 non-commercial copies, numbered from H.C. 1 to H.C. 5, reserved for the artist and the publisher.
The entire print run constitutes the original edition
